This site is dedicated to the memory of Tookie.
Steve Peregrin Took was born Stephen Ross Porter in Eltham, London on July 28, 1949. While in his teens, inspired by Tolkien's Book 'Lord of the Rings' he changed his name to Steve Peregrin Took. A name he was proud of and was so much more a part of the 'real him' than his given names. Tookie is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends, family and a growing number of fans.
